This should be fixed in 1.2.4.

I got a mission to take out a spanish merchant Santa Catalina. The merchant had full crew, and I got a message "You successfully located the spanish trade galleon" (or similar). I captured the ship, and got a bonus of 1000 gold.
However, the two next ships I encountered, in Cartagena, also had a full crew, and I got messages "You successfully located the spanish Trade Galleon" and "You successfully located the spanish Costal Barque".

The mission is bugged, methinks - it keeps registering subsequent ships as the target ship, even though I had completed the mission, and the ships were in the wrong location.

As I had sold the captured Trade Galleon for a sloop (downgrading ships is the premier way of earning money early in the game), I did not win both subsequent combats. ;)

Gem bonanza - I got a gem bonanza on Barbados and hurried there to buy cheap gems. Well - uhm - they did have gems in stock, but sold them for 1091 and bought for 221 - needless to say I did not buy any after all. The prices also stayed the same when the gem bonanza had ended - but now there were no gems in stock..

Seems there will be a 1.2.8 after all before I finish 1.3.0

Fixed. The job actually works correctly as such, but it had a little unintended side effect were it meddled with the trade ship configuration. You would not have gotten any reward for subsequent successes. To get rid of this, simply save and restore a game - this should cause it to reload the ship configuration file.

Will look into the gem bonanza problem. Been over this type of problem a couple of times now - it is probably a conflict between the event and the contraband effect.

Thanks for reporting these issues.
