Hey!
« on: August 09, 2007, 04:41:49 PM »
Hey there, how is it going with the development?
I have seen the blog, but I was unable to figure out that how long till the game will be finished.
Also the game should be advertised imho.
What about the beta test? Will there be any? I would be happy to beta test is when its possible.
Can we get a full feature list? Will there be any support for modding? [Modding is very important imo, many games are very popular because the players can make their own little game world with it.]

Kind regards, Chris.

Right at this moment, development is going splendidly - no doubt because I am still on holidays, and recently back from a very relaxing (no code) - and inspirational - trip to Venezia and Verona. That may change once I'm back at work next week.

Finishing date: I think I've mentioned a couple of times, I don't do those. Imperium is my hobby, sorry. I will bend a little on my principles, though, and say that I hope to finish Imperium at the latest before the end of next year. Not sure if that helps though.  ;)

Advertising, testing, etc., will all wait until there is a near-finished product to advertise and test upon. Don't worry - you'll read about it here first.

I don't want to rewrite any more feature lists, so I'll wait a bit with that. As for modding, almost everything (including major parts of the game interface) is stored in text files, so the game should end up very mod-friendly.

Thanks for the reply.  :)
Argh, it will be a pain to wait 12+ months for this game...but patience is a virtue!  :)

Oh, can you post more screenshots if it will be possible?

Regards, Chris.

I will try to post some more pictures soon, but for the main game map, this requires that I replace the current map icons (some of which are borrowed from other games), with new graphics, as I don't want to violate any copyrights.
